The spurt in demand of actuarial science professionals in India was triggered by globalization of insurance industry. This was followed by setting up of BPO and KPO service centres in India in the related fields, removal of tariffs in general insurance industry, development of health insurance industry, and maturity of derivative market segment on the Indianstock exchanges.

At DS Actuarial Education Services, Our mission is to help India and other developing countries to improve their decision-making practices by enabling a sound actuarial science enabled information base leading to adoption of superior public policies.

We intend to achieve this by creating awareness in India and around about actuarial science, promoting research and education in actuarial science, insurance and risk management and thereby producing risk managers who will create and analyze new models of actuarial science through rigorous research and lead to superior decisions.
